You’ve heard that being an emotional eater is a bad thing, but that just depends on how you look at it. If you scarf down a box of Famous Amos cookies when you’re upset, then yes, that’s a bad thing. But strategically picking your snacks in order to boost your mood is what we call a win-win.
We suggest keeping these naturally mood-boosting snacks on hand (or stashed in your desk) for when you’re in desperate need of a pick-me-up:
- nuts/nut butter
- roasted chickpeas
- coconut water
- avocado toast
- bananas
- kale chips
- goji berries
- dark chocolate (for the really bad days)
